Mark Newton, MD, FACC, attended the Medical College of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and received his medical degree in 1981. Then, he served his internship, internal medicine residency, and cardiology fellowship at The Medical College of Virginia. In addition, Dr. Newton received board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease medicine, interventional cardiology, and endovascular medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American College of Cardiology. In addition to his medical degree, he completed his undergraduate degree at Clemson University.
